Swivel Card

Open

To open these cards, the top swivels to the side on a single brad rather than opening like a book. This is a very simple card to make. I used Scallop Circle and Clear Circle Dies with my Big Shot to make the Poppy Parade and Whisper White circles. I cut the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper circle with my Circle Scissor Plus, making it just 1/4" smaller than the white circle.

After using snail adhesive to adhere the DSP to the Whisper White circle, I centered that circle on top of the scallop circle and used the 1/16" punch to make a hole  for the brad.  You can punch it anywhere along the edge. It's better not to go much farther than 1/2" inch from the edge as you lose writing space the farther in you go.
I used my Boho Blossoms Punch to make the Pretty in Pink flower and one of my Itty Bitty Punches to make the Daffodil Delight flower. For the smaller flowers, I use my 1/16" punch to make the brad hole BEFORE punching the flower. Then I can center the hole in the flower punch and it doesn't get bent on the 1/16" punch after it's cut. I do the same thing with the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, which I punched out of Peach Parfait and strung with Hemp Twine.  The Pear Pizazz label is a cutout of a stamp from the Just Believe stamp Set.  The "friends" and "hello" stamps come from the Tiny Tags stamp set. I layered the Daffodil Delight flower and the Pretty in Pink flower on the brad and then attached it to the two circles.

If you're using a darker card stock for the back of the card, you may want to cut another lighter circle to layer inside so writing will show up.  Another option is to use a White Gel Pen to write on the card.
