Swap Spoiler!

This is a card I made for my swap group for September.

I started with a Marina Mist base and matted with Bashful Blue.  The top layer is Glossy White, stamped with Marina Mist and Bashful Blue ink using the medallion stamp from the Artistic Etchings stamp set.

I used the Clearlit Scallop Rectangle die and my Big Shot to make the Marina Mist Rectangles. I think the scalloped edge gives them a postage stamp or vintage photo look.

I cut more Glossy White to layer on top, and for the first rectangle, I stamped off the alternating corners with Marina Mist and Bashful Blue ink using the medallion stamp. I stamped the crown with Versamark and used white embossing powder to give it texture.  The postmark stamp is from the French Foliage stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalog. I accidentally smeared it and tried to wipe it off, and stamp again.  It left a smudge, but I kind of liked the look, so I left it alone.

For the 2nd rectangle, I stamped off 2 corners with Bashful Blue ink and used sponge daubers to add Marina Mist  through the middle.  I used the 1-3/8" x 5/8" Oval punch to punch out the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and adhered it to the glossy white with a dimensional.

For the 3rd rectangle, I stamped the Eiffel Tower in Basic Black ink and sponged some Marina Mist around the sky.

I sponged the edges of all 3 white rectangles with Marina Mist before adhering them to the scalloped rectangles with snail adhesive. I used snail to attach the top and bottom rectangles to the card  and dimensionals for the middle one.

I added 5/8" Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon then used the Simple Flower Embosslit die with my Big Shot to punch the large flower out of Glossy White card stock, and one of the Itty Bitty Shapes punches to punch the 3 little flowers.  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the little flowers to either end of the hemp twine and another glue dot to adhere the flowered ends to the card.  I twisted the hemp twine into a loop in the middle, and attached the 3rd flower with more glue dots.

  2. You are way too kind. This one actually evolved from the card I made from last weeks Diva Inspiration Challenge. I have a LOT of time on my hands, and I'm finally starting to process everything I saw at convention! You gotta come next year!
