Hello, All!
I’ve been away from my blog for awhile, and I’ve missed having regular craft therapy! It’s been a crazy winter, and I’m welcoming spring with an open heart!
Here is this week’s sketch challenge from UDI:
I made this card a couple of weeks ago, and had no idea how appropriate it would end up being this week. Between the horrific bombings in Boston, and the unimaginable explosion in West, Texas, I think we can all use a bit of encouragement. My thoughts and prayers are with those who suffer and grieve in both cities.
This is a very simple card. It could easily be stepped up by using a texture folder on the card base. I’m picturing the stripes folder, but any folder would do.
The stamp set is the Hostess set, Carry On. If you don’t have this set already, consider hosting a workshop before the current catalog ends on May 31 so you can earn it! We have the ability to do online catalog workshops now, so it’s easy to hold a party with friends near and far!
I hope you’re feeling the warmth of spring wherever you are. Be sure to stop by the UDI blog and see the amazing card Barbara made for this sketch!
